The first visit to any doctor’s office can lead to apprehension as we are never quite sure what to expect. This is even more so with chiropractic care as many of our patients are walking into a chiropractic office for the very first time. Hopefully we can put your mind at ease with a quick run-down of what you might expect as a new patient.
You will first be greeted by one of our friendly and knowledgeable receptionists or a chiropractic assistant who will more than likely give you some paperwork to fill out. This paperwork can be insurance information, health history forms, or both. Hint: you can get a head start on the paperwork by downloading the new patient form from this website. Although I would advise calling first just to make sure you’re doing the correct form!
After your paperwork is done you will be given the VIP tour of the office (The Tour can also be done on this website! ) before being escorted back to an exam room for a consultation with one of the doctors.
During your consultation the doctor will inform you if you are a candidate for chiropractic care and at that time will perform a physical examination and x-ray exam if necessary. Depending on your particular situation, you may be asked to return for a report of findings after the x-ray and physical exam results have been evaluated or you may get started on treatment right away. In either case you will receive a detailed report of findings from the doctor explaining what the situation is and the doctor’s course of recommended treatment to address it.
